Makkah, October 21 (QNA) – A delegation of Thai pilgrims has expressed gratitude and recognition of the generous gesture of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani that enabled them to perform Hajj this year.
The head of the Thai Pilgrimage delegation Abdulrahman Abdulmutaleb said during a visit to the premises of the Qatari Hajj mission in Makkah, accompanied by the beneficiaries of the Emiri Gesture. 13 Thai pilgrims were able to perform Hajj this year because of this generous gesture, he noted.
He added that the delegation visited Medina where they stayed for 10 days enjoying the hospitality of HH the Emir’s gesture, and that they are now in Makkah staying in Makkah Towers close to the Grand Mosque.
The Head of the Thai delegation lauded the efforts of HE the Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al-Kuwari, in the enforcement of the gesture. He also praised the Qatari Embassy in his country for facilitating the process since the gesture was announced until the delegation left to the Holy Land. (QNA)
