Eleven People Killed in Northern Afghanistan

Kabul, June 15 (QNA) – Eleven people, including two election workers, were killed today in a roadside bomb explosion in northern Afghanistan.

Radio Sawa today quoted governor of Samangan province in northern Afghanistan as saying 11 people, including election workers were killed when a roadside bomb went off last night after the closer of polling stations of the second round of the presidential election held to elect a successor for President Hamdi Karzai.

Candidate Abdullah Abdullah won 45 percent of votes in the first round, while the other candidate Ashraf Ghani won 31.6 of the votes.(QNA)
