Egyptian FM Meets Libyan Counterpart

Cairo, May 17 (QNA) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy held talks here today with his Libyan counterpart Mohamed Abdul Aziz on bilateral relations between Egypt and Libya in various aspects and developments of the internal political and security situation in Libya.

Spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said during the meeting Fahmy underlined Egypt’s keenness and readiness to provide all possible forms of support to the Libyan government to help it apply the law and public order.

He explained that the talks also touched on efforts exerted to convene the border security, scheduled to be held in Cairo before the end of this year which will discuss coordination and cooperation among neighbouring countries as well as influential regional and international parties to secure and control the Libyan borders with a view to protecting neighbouring countries including Egypt.(QNA)
