Egypt supports all initiatives aiming at achieving peace, stability

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that his talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev asserted keenness on boosting bilateral ties between both countries in the fields of political coordination on international and regional issues of mutual interest in addition to pushing forward economic and trade relations via benefiting from the potentials available for both countries in various fields.

President Sisi said that, during the meeting, they agreed on the importance of holding periodic political talks, noting that they are looking forward to the convocation of the 6th round of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani joint committee for economic, scientific, and technical cooperation.

The two leaders agreed on organising the Egyptian-Azerbaijani businessmen forum to contribute to pushing the economic and trade relations forward towards more cooperation in the coming period.

President Sisi reiterated that the meeting strongly tackled a host of regional files, topped by the Palestinian cause, Middle East
News Agency (MENA) reported.

During the meeting, Sisi reviewed the Egyptian efforts to deliver humanitarian aid supplies to the Gazans and reach an immediate ceasefire.
