Results of the post IELTS test will be announced in May, said Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma.
In a statement today, Dr. Juma said that the ministry would be honoured highest IELTS achievers.
Schools that achieve the best rates of attendance and performance in the post IELTS test will also be recognized.
Based on the expected results, the Ministry will gradually expand the scope of training for the (IELTS) exam to include grades 10 and 11, starting from the next academic year.
He also unveiled plans to improve the curricula and teaching methods of mathematics and scientific subjects in general, adding that the development scheme will be announced in due time after the completion of the studies in this regard.
