Dubai: Dubai Airports has announced sponsorships for five of its Emirati employees to pursue higher education in aviation at the Emirates Aviation College this academic year.
The sponsorship of the part-time degree courses is part of Dubai Airports’ academic development programme called Tatweer, which is designed to recognise Emirati employees with potential and support them to achieve excellence in the aviation industry.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, described the launch of Tatweer as a milestone in the company’s push for nurturing future professionals and aviation leaders among UAE nationals. “The programme will prove very beneficial for the employees, but it will also translate into a major advantage for Dubai Airports by swelling our ranks with highly qualified aviation professionals,” he said.
Samya Ketait, Vice President of Learning ‘&’ Development at Dubai Airports, said, “We are really glad to make this sponsorship available to our Emirati employees. It is proving to be a great encouragement for individuals who are keen to develop themselves and excel professionally.
