Dr. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Emadi, Dean of the College of Law at Qatar University (QU), welcomed the new students and congratulated the new batch selected for Fall 2022, with a total of 169 male and female students admitted.

In addition to accepting 38 male and female students in the (four) postgraduate programs offered by the college, which are divided into 15 in the Master of Private Law program, 15 in the Master of Public Law program, 3 in the Certificate in Studies program Legal, and 5 in the PhD program, high school graduates (with its literary and scientific branches) and 6 transfers are also accepted.

Dr. Talal wished everyone a distinguished academic year, hoping that they will make every effort to acquire all the knowledge and experience in the college.

It is worth noting that teaching Bachelor of Laws at Qatar University began for the first time 32 years ago, since 1990. Between 1990 and 2004, the law major at that time represented an academic department in the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies. Since 2004, the College of Law has become an independent college. The college began offering master’s programs in 2014, and in 2018, the certificate program in legal studies was launched, and in 2020 the doctoral program in law was launched on three tracks: public law, private law and public international law (in English).

Since the first launch, the college was determined to achieve everything that would provide it with scientific excellence among its peers, by keeping pace with modern methods of education, cooperating with reputable local and international institutions, and learning about Arab and international experiences in the field of law.
