Doha: The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies has signed a cooperation agreement with the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), with the aim of providing educational opportunities for students from low-income families, by offering scholarships to male and female students through the “Qatar Scholarship” program, as the program helps them continue their university education at the institute within the Master’s degree.
The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the institute and the EAA’s commitment to strengthening community partnership and increasing the percentage of students enrolled in higher education, in addition to supporting financially struggling students and helping them continue their studies and ensuring their right to obtain quality and high-quality education. The agreement also comes within the framework of the EAA providing 500 scholarships in the State of Qatar in cooperation with the General Directorate of Endowments.
Under the agreement, the two parties will provide scholarsh
ips through the Qatar Scholarship program to a number of students inside and outside the State of Qatar who meet the conditions, so that they will have the opportunity to complete their undergraduate studies at the Master’s degree at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies over two academic years.
In this context, President of Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) Dr. Abdelwahab El Affendi voiced his happiness at signing this agreement with the Al Fakhoora program at the EAA with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and providing the best educational opportunities for students. He indicated that this cooperation comes to serve a group of resident and international students who meet the requirements for admission to the Institute, in a way that enhances their academic opportunities and contributes to developing their capabilities.
El Affendi pointed out that this agreement will allow for continued work in other areas of common interest, in line with the ongoing commitment to providing quality education
and supporting needy students to achieve their aspirations.
For his part, Director of the Al Fakhoora Program at the EAA Talal Al Hothal stressed that such qualitative partnerships provide opportunities for students to continue their university studies and support the development process to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, in addition to providing full support to those in financial difficulty who have the capabilities and qualifications to achieve excellence in their academic and professional lives.
Al Hothal voiced his thanks and appreciation to the General Directorate of Endowments for its important role in providing opportunities for deserving youth to pursue successful and in-demand careers to support and strengthen their communities.
