Doha: June 7 – The Doha Forum, as one of the leading global forums concerned with international affairs, is participating in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held from June 6 to 9, in St. Petersburg city, Russia.
As part of its continued development as a platform held annually under the slogan of diplomacy, dialogue and diversity, the Doha Forum took the opportunity of its participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to officially welcome the RosCongress Foundation as an official content partner in this years edition of the Forum, and to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the event.
The Doha Forum, whose main event will be held from December 7 to 8, has announced the selection of “The Imperative of Innovation” as its main theme for this year.
The Forum will address several issues, including geopolitics, economic development, emerging technologies, security, and cultural diplomacy, while it will serve as a platform to consider how
to apply the power and principles of innovation to the most pressing issues in our world.
Commenting on the presence of the Doha Forum at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Director General of the Doha Forum Maha Al Kuwari, said that every year, the Doha Forum brings together thought leaders from around the world to attend our flagship event in Doha, which contributes to enhancing discussions and international cooperation. The commitment to expanding global partnerships ensures that the Doha Forum remains a leading event in its field, she added It is worth noting that the Doha Forum regularly participates in global discussions, as it recently participated in the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity on Jeju Island, South Korea, which was held from May 29 to 31, where its partnerships expanded across East Asia, and it welcomed the Jeju Peace Institute as an official content partner in this year’s edition of the Forum.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is an annual event for the econ
omic sector, which has been held in St. Petersburg, Russia, since 1997. In recent years, and especially in 2021, the State of Qatar, as an official guest at the Forum, participated with a pavilion that included 51 organizations and 400 delegations in the field of cooperation in trade, investment, education, science, technology, culture and sports, where the Doha Forum was distinguished by its prominent presence at the event at that time.
