Diplomatic Institute, Georgetown University Sign Agreement to Offer and Implement Master’s Program

The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Georgetown University in Qatar signed an agreement to offer and implement the Executive Master's Program in Diplomacy and International Relations.

The agreement was signed on the part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Horr, and on the part of Georgetown University by Dean of the University Dr. Clyde Wilcox.

HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute explained that the program is open to Qatari diplomats, candidates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatari officials involved in foreign policy nominated by their ministries, and practitioners of diplomatic work from the Middle East region nominated by the governments of their countries.

For his part, the Dean of Georgetown University Qatar explained that the program's courses are multidisciplinary and focus on the major challenges in international politics and the global economy facing diplomats.

The program extends for one year and consists of nine units of study, each consisting of two intensive courses, in addition to one visit to the American capital, Washington, as a final semester.

Courses will be offered in the halls of Georgetown University in Qatar campus and will be conducted by faculty affiliated with the university's main campus in Washington, as well as faculty members affiliated with the university in Doha.
