WAM London, Dec 6th, 2012 (WAM) — Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al Mutaiwee, UAE’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Iceland hosted a ceremony at the Grovesnor house in London in connection with UAE 41st National Day celebrations.
Al Mutaiwee received many notable guests which included High Commissioners and Ambassadors of foreign missions, members of parliament, military and civilian officials, businessmen, and friends of the United Arab Emirates in the United Kingdom.
Also present were H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, First Secretary to UAE Embassy of London, together with H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Saeed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Skeikh Saeed Bin Suroor Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Majed Bin Saoud Al-Mualla and the diplomatic team.
The ambassador’s speech reflected the past year’s events in London, touching on the successes of the Olympics, Paralympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. He also remarked on the strength of bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, and how he would like to see �?12 billion in trade between the UAE and Britain by 2015′, a goal which is in reach.
In his speech, he noted the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Abu Dhabi and the agreements signed to strengthen cooperation in a wide array of fields including climate change, education and defence.
