Democracy stresses the need to form a unified national delegation for negotiations

General

Bethlehem-Ma’an- Fahd Suleiman, Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, stressed the need to form a unified Palestinian delegation for indirect negotiations with the Israeli government as a necessary and extremely important step to thwart the maneuvers of Netanyahu and his fascist partners, block the road to projects to separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, and undermine the foundations of the Palestinian national project.

Fahd Suleiman said: There is no longer any doubt that Netanyahu and his fascist partners are always working to disrupt negotiations, block the path to reaching a ceasefire agreement, and oblige the occupation forces to withdraw completely from every inch of the Gaza Strip.

He added: There is no longer any doubt about the intentions of the American-Israeli alliance to separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, through various projects, such as the Western mandate or others, or planning for the so-called ‘transitional phase’ until the Palestinian Au
thority ‘qualifies itself,’ according to the conditions of the White House, to take over the Gaza Strip within the framework of a project to perpetuate division, dispersion and disagreements between the parties of the Palestinian national situation.

The Secretary-General of the Democratic Front stressed that the most reliable and efficient way to block all these projects and ensure a national solution for the future of the Gaza Strip, as an integral part of the Palestinian state, is to form a unified Palestinian delegation to manage the indirect negotiations, in the name of the PLO, similar to the Palestinian delegation that managed the 2014 negotiations in Cairo.

Fahd Suleiman added, stressing that the Palestinian national action factions reached outcomes in the Moscow dialogue (March 2024), as did the Fatah and Hamas movements in Beijing (April 2024), which removed the obstacles to a political consensus, based on emphasizing the representative position of the Palestine Liberation Organization, its nationa
l program for return, self-determination, and an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and adopting the resolutions of international legitimacy and international law, the legal reference for resolving the Palestinian national issue, and guaranteeing the legitimate national rights of our people. There was also agreement to form a national consensus government of independent figures and competencies, which would manage public affairs in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and ensure their unity as one region for the Palestinian state.

On this basis, the Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine added, the possible step for what we have reached in our successful dialogues, and the national necessity, dictates to us the formation of a unified Palestinian delegation to manage the indirect negotiations with the occupying state, and to ensure the achievement of the national interests of our people, and to block the path of suspicious maneuvers and alternative plans for the Pales
tinian national project, and always under the leadership of the PLO.
