Czech Katerina Siniakova defeated Italian Lucia Bronzetti 6-2, 7-6 (5) to win the Bad Homburg Open final at Bod Hombourg vor der Hohe on Saturday.
In the previous rounds of the Bad Hombourg tournament, Siniakova, ranked No 52, beat Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-4), Russian Evgeniya Rodina (6-2, 6-4), Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the second seed (7-5, 4-6, 6-2) and American Emma Navarro (6-2, 6-2).
