Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh stressed the necessity of exchanging experiences and musical, artistic, archaeological and craft missions between Syria and Italy to exchange cultural experiences, and to correct the image of Syria, which the West wanted to distort.

That came during a meeting that brought together Minister Mshaweh and a delegation that included representatives of the Italian CasaPound party, the European Front for the Defense of Syria, and head of the Syrian community in Italy, a number of cultural issues and prospects for joint cooperation.

Dr. Mshaweh appreciated the position of the Italian CasaPound party in support of the Syrian people and their cause, despite the unjust European measures and sanctions against Syria.

In turn, the head of the party, Gianluca Iannone, reviewed the initiatives presented by the party and the Front in support of Syria and its people during the war waged against the country, and the assistance provided to those affected by the devastating earthquake that struck it.

The head of the party underlined the importance of the work of the Italian archaeological missions in Syria, which highlights the features of civilization there, stressing their readiness to cooperate and support any cultural activity and to organize tourist trips to Syria for Italian students.
