COLLEGE OF SHARIA AND ISLAMIC STUDIES ENROLLS 835 STUDENTS IN THE SPRING SEMESTER 2022

Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Ansari Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic studies at Qatar University (QU) says spring semester 2022 witnessed the registration of a total of 835 (780 female and 55 male).

The students have enrolled in the four departments: Fiqh and its Fundamentals, Creed and Propagation, Quran and Sunnah, and Islamic Studies. As for the doctorate program only two students are enrolled, whereas four students have been registered in one approved program so far in the college at the doctoral stage, which is the jurisprudence and its foundations program.

It is noted that the percentage of boys has exceeded the percentage of girls in graduate programs, while the percentage of girls has exceeded the percentage of boys at the bachelor’s level.

The college is known regionally and globally for leadership and excellence in Sharia education, Islamic studies, scientific research, and community service, with an authentic middle approach, and to be a reliable reference that consolidates the Arab-Islamic identity, advances Islam in its bright image, and promotes coexistence and dialogue with the other.
