Chinese Judicial Delegation Visits Supreme Judiciary Council to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

A judiciary delegation from the People’s Republic of China has visited the Supreme Judiciary Council to discuss avenues for boosting cooperation and advancing the judiciary work mechanisms between the two sides.

HE President of the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) and President of the Court of Cassation, Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, met with the judicial delegation headed by HE President of Shanghai Financial Court, Zhao Hong, and discussed enhancing the judicial cooperation between the two courts.

The Chinese delegation met with HE President of the Investment and Trade Court, Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidly, to discuss arbitration and dispute settlement mechanisms, as well as future cooperation opportunities, including organizing joint workshops and bolstering communication between the two sides.

Following the meeting, HE Zhao Hong and the accompanying delegation listened to a detailed explanation about the functions of the Investment and Trade Court, its purview, work mechanisms, innovati
ve measures and technological advancements the court leverages to promote justice and settle trade disputes promptly.

The Chinese delegation toured the court premises and got familiarized with the court’s technological equipment, alongside the halls that offer judicial services
