China invites Syria to attend founding meeting of Asian Dialogue for Cultural Heritage Conservation

The Syrian Ministry of Culture received an official invitation to attend the founding meeting of the Asian Alliance for Cultural Heritage Conservation scheduled to be held next April in China, with the participation of thirty Asian states.

Minister of Culture Dr. Lubana Mushaweh ,meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Syria, Shi Hongwei, stressed the deep-rooted historical relations binding the two countries, and the importance of increasing collaboration between them in various cultural fields.

The two sides noted to the great success and turnout achieved by the Syrian Antiquities Exhibition in China, which toured several Chinese cities and was very popular.

They discussed the possibility of hosting an exhibition of Chinese antiquities in Syria, in addition to collaboration in the project of documenting and digitizing antiquities, translating great books of Chinese literature and thought within the project of the National Plan for Translation.

The Chinese ambassador handed in the Minister Mushaweh an official invitation to visit China to participate in the founding meeting of the Asian Alliance for Cultural Heritage Conservation to be conducted next April.
