Chilean province of Rancagua gives the name of Syria to one of its squares

The Rancagua governorate in Chile gave the name 'the Syrian Arab Republic' to one of its main squares. The chargé d'affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Chile, Ghassan Anjerini, told SANA that this step is part of the framework of friendship and cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Chile and was carried out thanks to an initiative of the Embassy and institutions for Syrian expatriates. Anjerini highlighted the ties of friendship between Syria and Chile, and and the constant appreciation for the contributions of the members of the Syrian community in Chile and their outstanding role in the fields of creativity, development and the construction of bridges of love between Chile and Syrian homeland.
