The media office of the National Liberal Party announced in a statement today that, 'the head of the party, MP Camille Dori Chamoun, started his tour in the United States with a series of meetings with a number of officials in the American administration, where he stressed the need for full implementation of the constitution, including expanded administrative decentralization." The statement added that Chamoun's proposal was welcomed by American officials. "The proposed solution has positive and welcoming echoes among those he met," the statement said.
