Doha, October 01 (QNA) – The British Council in Doha has announced that it will organize its annual conference Going Global which is a series of international education conferences.
Going Global 2013’s themes will be Global education: knowledge-based economies for 21st century nations. It will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 4 to 6 March 2013.
The conference examines current practices, systems and delivery mechanisms and what can be learnt from these, said the Council in a statement posted on its website. “We identify future trends, and explore the challenges and opportunities these present for research and tertiary systems in creating knowledge-based economies and 21st century nations.”
This year the conference will focus on three key themes: Research and innovation: the role of international collaboration; Developing skilled knowledge workers: the role of the international collaboration; Internationalised tertiary education structures and systems.
To date there have been five Going Global conferences attracting high profile speakers and over 1,000 international delegates from some 70 countries around the world. (QNA)
