Deputy House Speaker, Elias Bou Saab, on Monday issued a statement expressing his condemnation of the kidnapping of Lebanese Forces coordinator in Jbeil district, Pascal Sleiman. Bou Saab, who contacted Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea by phone, affirmed his full solidarity with the Sleiman family. During the call, Bou Saab praised the Lebanese Forces' stance, which has shown a high sense of responsibility in the country's most difficult circumstances, warning that the current security deterioration must be stopped as soon as possible, as it could lead to uncontrollable unrest. While acknowledging the efforts of the security forces to liberate Sleiman, Bou Saab hoped that rumors would not be believed, giving the security apparatuses the opportunity to work quickly and effectively to ensure Sleiman's safe return to his family.
