Head of the Free Patriotic Movement MP Gebran Bassil said that “unilateralism destroyed everything, in culture and in politics,” stressing the importance of diversity and openness. “Diversity inside the FPM is similar to the diversity present in Lebanon,” he said. “Without diversity we would not be able to coexist,” he underlined. “We might disagree with people because of their practices and actions, not because of the sect or party they belong to,” he said. Bassil made these remarks at the inauguration of the “House of Youth” in Chouf.
