Bahraini wins 12 medals on first day of West Asian championship

Bahraini bodybuilders shone during the first day of the 4th West Asian Bodybuilding Championship, bagging a total of 12 medals, including 7 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze ones.

Patronised by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, the tournament kicked off today at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall in the University of Bahrain (UoB) Sakhir Campus, and will conclude tomorrow.

Gold medalists include Abdullah Isa Ahmed (master physique category), Ali Ibrahim (muscular physique category), Ali Ibrahim (Muscular physique category champion), Ahmed Al-Thawadi (physique category 176 cm), Abdulrahman Bushaqr (physique 182), Ali Yasser (junior classic physique) and Mohammed Naji Ali (classic physique 171 cm).

Sayed Hussain Juma (muscular physique 179 cm) and Abbas Najer (muscular physique over 179 cm) won silver medals, while Mohammed Jaleel (master physique), Abdulla Mansoor (physique 173 cm) and Mohammed Bukhallaf (classic physique 175 cm) clinched bronze medals.
