Bahraini-Saudi tourism cooperation discussed

Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Acting Minister of Tourism, held a meeting with Ahmed bin Aqil Al-Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of World Tourism Day, which was held in Riyadh from September 27 to 28, under the theme of "Tourism and Green Investments".

Minister Fakhro expressed pride in the long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations, praising the steady growth of bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly tourism.

He also commended the constant efforts exerted by the two kingdoms to boost the tourism and travel industry, as well as increase tourism investments.

The two ministers discussed ways to follow up on the outcomes of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries, under which the two kingdoms will be promoted regionally and internationally as a single tourist destination, in a way that enhances the growth momentum of their tourism sector, and achieves their ambitious goals of increasing this sector’s contribution to economic development.

They stressed that the outcomes of the MoU reflect the fruitful efforts made by the relevant authorities in both kingdoms.
