Bahrain outclass Tunisia in U21 World Championship 2023 opener

The Bahrain U21 national volleyball team made a perfect start after winning their opening match in the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship 2023, being hosted by the Kingdom until July 16.

Bahrain beat their Tunisian counterparts 3-0, 25-22, 25-12 and 25-22, to top their Group A.

Cabinet Affairs Undersecretary, Deputy President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, was at the forefront of those who supported the national squad during their opening match against Tunisia.

Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) President, Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, BVA Secretary General, Feras Al Helwachi, and the Chargé d'Affaires at the Tunisian Embassy in Bahrain, Mona Al Maaloul, attended the match.

In the second Group A match, Asian champions, Iran, beat their Thai counterparts 3-1.

In other matches, holders Italy beat Mexico 3-0, Poland beat India 3-1 and Bulgaria beat Canada 3-1.

Egypt lost to Brazil 0-3, while Argentina beat the USA 3-0.
