Australia Witnesses its Warmest-Ever Winter

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology announced today, Friday, that the country has experienced its warmest winter season ever.

The Bureau of Meteorology, through its website, stated that the average temperatures for the season from June to August have risen by 1.53 degrees Celsius compared to the average between 1961 and 1990, marking the highest temperatures recorded since temperature recording began in 1910.

Rainfall during the winter season in various parts of Australia decreased by 4.2 percent compared to the average between 1961 and 1990. However, the northern regions of Western Australia and Queensland in the west, as well as extensive areas in the northern and eastern parts of the southern states, did not experience this decrease.

The Bureau had earlier indicated the possibility of a change in weather patterns between September and November. (QNA)
