Abuja, June 01 (QNA) – At least 14 people have been killed in a bomb attack on a bar that was screening a televised football match in north-eastern Nigeria on Sunday, police say.

The attack took place in the town of Mubi in Adamawa state, close to the border with Cameroon, the BBC reported.

The policeman said the bomb exploded at roughly 6.30pm local time at the pitch in Mubi’s Kaban area and targeted fans who were trying to leave the field after watching a local club match.
