President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Hassan Jaber Al-Jaber, on a farewell visit to mark the end of his diplomatic duties.
President Aoun praised the efforts made by the Qatari Ambassador, in strengthening Lebanese-Qatari relations, especially recently resulting from the difficult circumstances which Lebanon passes through. The President asserted the good relationship between him and Qatari Prince, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad II, praising his stances in support of Lebanon.
The President also granted Ambassador Al-Jaber, the National Cedar Medal (Rank of Senior Officer), and wished him success in his future tasks.
For his part, the Qatari Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Prince of Qatar, and his wishes that Lebanon emerges the current difficult circumstance, affirming Qatar’s stand as government and people, with Lebanon and the Lebanese.
Ambassador Al-Jaber also thanked the President for honoring him and wished him success in leading Lebanon to safety.
