Al Rahba Hospital organizes Third National Women’s Health Conference

WAM Abu Dhabi, Nov 22nd, 2012 (WAM) — Under the aegis of Al Rahba Hospital, a member of SEHA’s Health System managed by John Hopkins, the Third National Women’s Health Conference begins tomorrow.

The event, held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi, will see up to 1000 experts, specialists and stakeholders in the field of healthcare spotlight key concerns in women’s health.

Conference Director Dr. Nellie Boma, who is also the Chief Medical Officer at Al Rahba Hospital, will offer welcoming remarks to kick-start proceedings, followed by Dr. Karen Carbone, Deputy Chief Clinical Officer, SEHA.

The Conference will focus on key health issues confronting women, including chronic obstructive lung, cervical cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, diabetes, complications related to smoking cessation, thyroid disease during pregnancy, cardiovascular diseases, surgeryskin diseases, prenatal care, osteoporosis, mental health and other important topics.

The Health Authority Abu Dhabi has accredited the conference as being worth 12.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours for attendees.
