Quebec: First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), Dr. Amal Al-Qubaisi, who also heads the FNC’s Parliamentary Division and Noel Kinsella, Speaker of the Canadian Senate, discussed ways to boost relations of cooperation.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 127th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), currently being held in Quebec City in Canada, Dr. Amal highlighted the keenness of both UAE and Canada to enhance and strengthen economic relations and trade exchange.
She also extended a formal invitation to the Speaker of the Canadian Senate to visit UAE and the Federal National Council to be briefed on the parliamentary experience and the development witnessed by the state in various fields.
For his part, Kinsella hailed UAE’s role in the region at all economic, political and social levels.
He also commended the Parliamentary leading role of the Federal National Council on the domestic level and effective representation in international forums.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Saif Hilal Al Shehhi, UAE ambassador to Canada and other FNC’s members.
