Ajman Crown Prince signs decree ratifying new structure of emirate’s tourism body

Ajman: Ajman Crown Prince HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Ajman Emirate, ratified the organizational structure of the Department of Tourism Development.

He signed an Emiri decree consisting of 16 articles endorsing the new organisational structure of the Depart of Tourism development in the emirate.

The new organisational structure as stipulated in the Emiri Decree No. 9 / Year 2012 aims to activate the Department’s role in harnessing all efforts and possibilities for the development of the tourism industry in the emirate.

The reorganisation is also indented to encourage more investments in this vital sector and achieve sustainable development in the emirate. It will also promote and increases the chances of positive understanding and coexistence among the peoples of the world.

According to the new structure, the Department will have a Chairman and a Director General and will be consisted of three major administrations that includes Licencing and tourism standards, Tourism development and Marketing, and Services and Supports.

The decree also delineates the prerogatives of each administration and their sub divisions.
