AGRICULTURE MINISTER VISITS FISH HATCHERY IN ALEXANDRIA, UNDERLINES NECESSITY OF BILATERAL COOPERATION

Caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Abbas al-Hajj Hassan, pursued on Saturday his Egyptian tour to benefit from the country's expertise in the field of fish farming, accompanied by a high-level Lebanese delegation and officials from the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development headed by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dakhiri, where they visited the fish hatchery Kilo 21 in Alexandria, affiliated with the General Authority for Fish Resources Development. The hatchery is supported by the Egyptian government to provide food security for the Egyptian citizen, and works to achieve prosperity through export. During the tour, Minister Hajj Hassan stressed 'the importance of cooperation and exchanging experiences with the Egyptian side in this field,' and also pointed out 'the need for networking between the Lebanese and Egyptian private sectors under the auspices of agricultural governmental bodies.'
