Kuala Lumpur, The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) highlighted Palestine’s next and third participation in the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, which will take place from Jan. 12 until Feb. 10, 2024.
The AFC’s report, which was published on its website today, said that drawn in Group C, Palestine will have three-time champions Islamic Republic of Iran, United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong, China for company.
Palestine will be facing all three of their Group C opponents for the first time in the AFC Asian Cup. First match will be against Iran on Jan. 14, the second against UAE on Jan. 18, and the third against Hong Kong, China on Jan. 23, 2024.
Palestine will be competing in the AFC Asian Cup for the third consecutive edition, having made their debut in 2015.
Palestine have not won a match so far in the AFC Asian Cup. They have never made it past the group stage.
Palestine registered only 16 shots with four on target in the UAE 2019 edition of the AFC Asian Cup. Palestine also had the fewest shots in the 2015 edition with 20 shots.
