“A Drop of Water” initiative to secure potable water for Hasaka citizens amid cutting off water by Turkish occupation

The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with Hasaka City Council, launched an initiative “A Drop of Water” to secure potable water for the people of the city, in light of seizing and controlling Alouk water station by Turkish occupation through its terrorist mercenaries depriving one million citizens of it in the province.

The initiative includes securing water and transporting it by tanks to the citizens as the operations of distribution started from Samara district in the center of the city towards other districts.

“The campaign comes within the framework of the government’s consistent efforts to secure drinking water for the people of Hasaka and alleviate their suffering, in light of the Turkish occupier’s continued aggressive acts. Coordination is taking place with international organizations, charities and bodies to ensure the continuation of the initiative according to the available capabilities”. Deputy governor of Hasaka, Hassan Shamhoud, told SANA reporter.
