7-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Central Morocco

A 7-magnitude earthquake scale struck the Al Haouz province in central Morocco on Friday night.



In a statement, the National Institute of Geophysics of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research in Morocco said that it had located the epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at approximately 11:11 pm, in the Ighil town of the Al Haouz province at a depth of about 8 kilometers.



The northern and northeastern parts of Morocco are occasionally exposed to tremors of varying degrees, without resulting in casualties.
