Kathmandu, - At least seven persons were killed and 18 other injured, when a jeep they were travelling in plunged into a 300-metre gorge in Nepal's Nawalparasi district.
Police said that the incident occurred when the jeep heading towards Charchare of Dandajheri from Balungtar skidded off a mountain highway and fell some 300 metres down on Saturday.
All 18 injured passengers were taken to two hospitals, he said.
In September, 18 people were killed when an overcrowded passenger bus crashed on a narrow mountain road in northern Nepal.
