540 Palestinians Arrested by Israeli Army in Ongoing Arrest Campaign

Ramallah, June 25 (QNA) – On Tuesday evening the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that the number of Palestinians arrested by the Israeli army in the ongoing offensive, starting less than two weeks ago, has reached to at least 540.

According to the International Middle East Media Center (IMMEC), the PPS said that eleven Palestinians were arrested by the army in different parts of the occupied West Bank.

The largest number of arrests have been carried out in the Hebron district, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The PPS stated the soldiers kidnapped 185 Palestinians in the Hebron district, 89 in Nablus, 75 in Bethlehem, 55 in Jenin, 49 in Ramallah, 36 in Jerusalem, 23 in Tulkarem, 13 in Qalqilia, 7 in Tubas, 7 in Salfit, and one in Jericho.

At dawn Wednesday, Israeli soldiers invaded Za’tara town, east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and arrested Palestinian legislator Khaled Tafesh from his home. (QNA)
