20th Edition of Project Qatar to Begin on Monday

Doha: The 20th edition of Project Qatar, one of the biggest trade exhibition specializing in construction materials, equipment, and technologies in Qatar, will get underway at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center on Monday, May 27. At a press briefing today, IFP Qatar, the organizer of the event, said that the 2024 edition will attract 120 international companies across 25 different countries and 130 Qatari companies, led by major governmental and semi-governmental agencies and prominent private sector companies. The 20th edition of Project Qatar marks a significant moment in the evolution of the construction industry's premier trade exhibition in Qatar. As the biggest and longest running trade exhibition specializing in construction in the country, Project Qatar serves as a dynamic platform for industry professionals to showcase cutting-edge technologies, exchange knowledge, and forge strategic partnerships. This year's Project Qatar is poised to address emerging segments and environmental concerns as th e global focus shifts towards green and smart manufacturing. The key areas that the exhibition and the accompanying conference will highlight include sustainable construction materials such as recycled content, low-carbon concrete, sustainable timber, and energy-efficient insulation as well as a range of renewable energy solutions designed to reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency in construction projects. It will also feature smart building technologies including intelligent building management systems, IoT-enabled sensors, automation solutions, and energy-efficient HVAC systems in addition to green infrastructure such as green roofs, permeable pavements, rainwater harvesting systems, and urban green spaces. It is expected to showcase a diverse range of innovative solutions and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability, resilience, and environmental stewardship in the construction industry. Along with the exhibition, the three-day conference will cover key issues related to the constructi on, industrial, sustainability, and environmental sectors. The first days sessions will be dedicated to the most significant current and future projects in Qatar and the investment opportunities available within them, featuring speakers from Ashghal, Ministry of Transport, and Qatar Free Zones Authority. The second day, under the title "Towards a Climate-Resilient Future", will be held in partnership with the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD), covering sustainability and climate change issues. It will conclude with the "Eco Champions" awards ceremony in which GORD will honor the pioneers of eco-innovation and community resilience in Qatar in order to highlight their pivotal role in shaping a greener future. The third day under the title "Towards Smart Manufacturing" will be held in collaboration with the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC). It will focus on the recent developments in the manufacturing and logistics sectors, exploring the latest trends of Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
