Saudi Cabinet Approves Introduction of GCC Selective Tax

Riyadh, - Saudi cabinet has approved the implementation of two resolutions issued by the GCC Supreme Council during its 37th session, which was held in Bahrain regarding the imposition of selective tax by GCC countries, authorizing the minister of finance to define a date for implementing the tax in Saudi Arabia, the official Saudi news agency SPA reported.

The cabinet also approved the supreme council's decision that obliges GCC embassies and consulates as well as relevant authorities to ensure the health of foreign workers through the shared electronic link system.
