QATARI AMIR, FRENCH PRESIDENT REITERATE SUPPORT TO KUWAITI MEDIATION TO RESOLVE GULF CRISIS

The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hammad Al Thani, and French President, Emmanuel Macron, emphasised the need to resolve the Gulf crisis, through dialogue and diplomatic means.

They have also expressed full support to the Kuwaiti mediation led by the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

These remarks were made by the two leaders, during a phone conversation received by the Amir of Qatar from the French President, the Qatari News Agency (QNA), reported.

They have also discussed bilateral relations and joint efforts, to combat terrorism and dry up its financial resources.

Earlier in the day, the Kuwaiti Amir received, at Bayan Palace, Qatar's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who handed the Amir a message from the Qatari Amir.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt, on Sunday, accepted the Amir of Kuwait's request, to extend the deadline given to Qatar, to respond to the list of demands by 48 hours
