Doha, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) gained 58.72 points (0.56 percent) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,629.13 points.
Trading value during this week increased by 29.18 percent to reach QR 1,289,140,532.84 compared to QR 997,929,008.83.
Trading volume increased by 30.47 percent to reach 42,985,446 shares, as against 32,946,555 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 19.68 percent, to reach 17,436 transactions as compared to 14,569 transactions.
Market capitalization rose by 0.16 percent to reach QR 568,961,234,341.63 as compared to QR 568,052,920,739.09 at the end of previous week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value this week with 30.37 percent of the total traded value. Real estate sector accounted for 25.03 percent. Industries sector accounted for 13.74 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 10.68 percent.
Real estate sector led traded volume this week with 31.16 percent of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 26.36 percent. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 19.05 percent and industries sector accounted for 9.04 percent.
Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 29.4 percent of the total number of transactions. Real estate sector accounted for 22.66 percent. The industrials sector ranked third, accounting for 19.17 percent, and finally followed by consumer goods and services sector, which accounted for 11.80 percent.
From the 44 listed companies 23 ended this week higher, while 20 fell and one unchanged.
Barwa Real Estate led trading value during this week accounted for 14.11 percent of the total trading value. Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 9.02 percent and Vodafone Qatar accounted for 7.89 percent.
