Lebanese Parliament Fails Again to Reelect New President

Beirut, April 30 (QNA) – Lebanon’s Speaker of the House Nabih Berri on Wednesday adjourned the presidential election session till May 7, 2014, due to lack of quorum, according to National News Agency (NNA).

lawmakers once again failed on Wednesday to elect a new president as differences between the March 8 and 14 alliances led to a lack of quorum in the second parliamentary session aimed at choosing a new head of state.

76 deputies attended the presidential election session at the House of Parliament. (QNA)
