Kabul, April 30 (QNA) -At least 83 Taliban militants were killed or injured during military operations by Afghan national security forces in the past 24 hours.
Interior ministry following a statement said Wednesday that the operations were jointly conducted by Afghan National Police (ANP), Afghan National Army (ANA) and Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives.
The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Kunar, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Balkh, Herat and Ghor provinces.
At least 69 Taliban militants were killed, 14 militants were injured and 10 others were arrested during the operations, the statement by interior ministry added.
Afghan security forces also confiscated various types of light and heavy weapons along with explosives during the operations.
Interior ministry did not disclose further information regarding the casualties of the Afghan security forces during the military operations.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.(QNA)
